WhiteLabelFlatshare.co.uk welcomes Flatseeker.net

March 9th, 2010

We are proud to announce another partner to the white label flatshare system, Flatseeker.net.

As you can see from the image shown below and by visiting the website, you will see that the homepage is completely different to our other partners websites. The emphasis of the end user typing in their desired flat or house share location has been moved further down the page and has been replaced with a map of the UK with direct links to the main flatsharing cities in the UK. This to date is a unique method of designing the homepage and one that we like.

WhiteLabelFlatshare.co.uk welcomes StudentFlatshare.net

March 8th, 2010

The latest partner we welcome on board is StudentFlatshare.net which as the name suggests focuses upon the ever growing student population.

This is a particularly good time to launch such a website as UCAS, the organisation responsible for managing higher education applications, announced earlier this year that 2009 saw an increase in the number of students given places.  In addition, from here until the new academic year in September, current students are continually looking for somewhere to live in 2010 / 2011.

Using Twitter as a promotional tool

January 12th, 2010

What is it?
Twitter is a micro blogging service which allows you to summarise what’s new on your flat share website or whatever is on your mind in 140 characters or less.

How does it work?
You register an account, set up your profile and you can begin tweeting about your flat share website.  If you are going to use Twitter as a tool to promote your flat share website, it is advisable that your account name reflects your website.

Now you can begin networking by following people with similar interests to yours as they can find you.

Santa Fun Run: The results!

December 17th, 2009

On Sunday, 6th December three members of the WhiteLabelFlatshare.co.uk team took part in the 5km Santa Fun Run in aid of Chelmsford based charity, Farleigh Hospice. The team were running in memory of Simon’s father in law, Eric, who was treated and looked after at the hospice.

We made it through relatively unscathed. As predicted Simon and Glenn completed the run barely breaking a sweat whilst Neil struggled with keeping up the pace and resorted to walking the last 2km, only picking up the pace for the finish line!

Optimise your website to generate more traffic

December 15th, 2009

To make the most potential from your flatshare website you will need to get as much relevant traffic as possible. There are many ways of achieving this but the most effective method is by optimising your website for search engines.

It is also a means of driving extra traffic to your website which potentially means more registrations, more payment upgrades and ultimately more commission for you!
